The Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Serbia was officially opened in Tbilisi on September 4, 2021. The opening ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Ukraine and Georgia, Aca Jovanovic, and the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Serbia to Georgia, David Sirbiladze.

Ambassador Jovanovic congratulated the opening of the Honorary Consulate, hoping that it would strengthen ties between the two friendly nations and increase trade and economic cooperation between Serbia and Georgia, especially in the context of economic recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic.
