Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Ukraine Aca Jovanovic met with the Metropolitan of Borispol and Brovary of Anthony of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on November 25, 2021, in Kiev.

During the meeting, the issues of development of relations between the Orthodox peoples of Ukraine and Serbia in the church, social and cultural sphere were discussed.

The interlocutors stated with satisfaction that the two fraternal peoples, despite strong historical temptations, preserved Christian optimism and openness.

Ambassador Jovanovic spoke about the wealthy and multiple ties between the Ukrainian and Serbian people and the two Orthodox churches and their contribution to the European cultural heritage.
